Art Life: I've been a constant doodler since childhood, but never believed I could do any "real" drawing until about 5 years ago, when I painted a tree on my son's bedroom wall. Since then, I've read every book I could, drawn and painted like mad, and found that to be the purpose that drives my soul.

Work Life: While my education is in science (I have a M.S. and most of a PhD in Geology), I am a stay at home mom and part time home-schooler. My kids go to a cooperative school, where they are in classes three days a week, and I home school the other two days. The rest of my time is spent painting and volunteering for my church as the music leader and publications guru.

Home Life: I have a wonderful husband, Ron, who is an engineer and two lovely sons, Derek and Joshua. We also are allowed to share the space of Oscar the mutt and Chico the chihuahua, subjects of much drawing activity.
