Art Life - I've been hording art supplies and making messes since the late 70's. During high school I was an art major taking both fine art and commercial art classes. Who says three art classes a day is overkill? While on maternity leave with my daughter I renewed my commitment to art making, rather than strictly teaching and appreciating art.

Worklife - Studied desktop publishing and worked in graphics and marketing for about 5 years before returning to college to earn my teaching certificate. Have taught art grades 1-8 and am returning to teach at the high school level this fall (2006). Somewhat of a professional student, I'm currently working on my master's degree in Art Education.

Homelife - Happily married with one child and a dog. When I'm not sketching, I'm probably reading a book, changing a diaper or folding laundry. My husband is a photo enthusiast and we enjoy visiting museums in our spare time.
