I've been away from art far too long. I started back to school in the 90's when my 35-year marriage broke up, and I immediately signed onto a major in art. Then I got sidetracked into language and literature (I love words!) and ended up studying Latin and Greek. Graduated in 1998 in my 61st year and have been writing (non-fiction, mostly memoir) ever since. Now I'm working toward a long-time dream of combining word and image--starting with my journal and my dreams. This group is both an inspiration and a motivation for me.

I have 2 German Shepherds who love to endlessly model for me, mostly prone, when I need a quick sketch or dabble in something new. I miss living in the country and in the mountains, but I'm getting used to finding city scenes to draw. Now if I can just get over my shyness about drawing in public!
